Editorial Policy

This site is a personal blog about SEO, WordPress and AI, run by Michael Anderson. This page explains how the content on it gets made, reviewed and maintained, so you can judge whether to trust it.

Last updated: October 2026.

The short version

Recommendations are based on research and, where practical, hands-on use. Posts that rely on research rather than personal testing say so. Nothing on this site is paid placement, and a commission never decides a verdict (see the Affiliate Disclosure).

How topics get chosen

Posts are chosen for usefulness, not for commission size. The site covers local SEO, WordPress, AI workflows and what to do when Google demotes your site, because those are the things readers here actually need help with, and the things I know from doing the work.

How reviews and comparisons are done

  • Where a tool can be tested, it gets tested before it gets recommended.
  • Where a review is research-based (price checking, features, documentation, user reports), the post says so.
  • “Best X” lists state the criteria used to rank things, so you can disagree with the method instead of just the result.
  • Prices and feature sets change fast. A post states when it was last checked; treat older numbers as a starting point.

Corrections and updates

When a plugin updates, a price changes or Google changes the rules, posts get updated and the update date moves. If something is wrong, it gets fixed and the correction is noted in the post. Posts are not rewritten to pretend they aged well; they are updated or they are marked as dated.

AI use

AI tools are part of the workflow on this site, as they are for most people doing this work in 2026. How exactly they are used is explained in the AI Content Policy, and every post is reviewed and edited by a human before it goes live.

Money

The site runs on affiliate commissions where links are used (always disclosed) and may display advertising in the future (also disclosed). If a recommendation looks like an ad, it probably isn’t, and you can tell me so through the contact form.
